Reminder – PGWP workshop for international students – Monday, November 21st, 11 am PT

As a reminder, UBC International Student Advising will be hosting a DAP-exclusive virtual PGWP workshop via Zoom on Monday, November 21st, 11 am PT.

This session will highlight the benefits of the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) as you consider your options to further your studies, work in Canada or apply for permanent residence. You will learn about timelines to apply for the PGWP, eligibility requirements, how to prepare your application, work eligibility, and what you need to know if you have family members in Canada too. The information provided will take the potential impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic into consideration.

Service Canada Webinar: Social Insurance Number (SIN) for International Students – September 9th, 12 pm

Service Canada offers a webinar on Social Insurance Number (SIN) for UBC international students. Students will learn about how to apply for SIN, what documents are required, when to update the SIN, and more. There will be a Q&A period after the presentation.
