Upcoming opportunities to connect with CPABC in August and September

CPABC has updated the Public Practice Recruit 2022 Framework for the fall recruitment period (August to October 2022). All Lower Mainland firms adhering to this framework (BDO, Deloitte, EY, Grant Thornton, KPMG, MNP, PwC) have approved these new set of recruitment dates. The updated Framework can be found on our CPABC Post-Secondary Recruitment Guidelines webpage. If applying to a position offered by the firms noted above, in the Lower Mainland region, please review these dates and deadlines in this Framework.

August 93:00pm – 4:00pmCPA Public Practice Recruit Information SessionIn one hour, learn about Public Practice Recruit for current and graduated post-secondary students. If you’re interested in pursuing employment opportunities with public practice firms in BC, attend this session to learn how students are recruited in the fall (August to October) in 2022, for full-time, summer, and co-op positions starting in 2023.
August 155:30pm – 6:30pmCPABC Q&A WebinarJoin us to ask questions about the admission requirements of the CPA program, how to apply, and any additional questions you may have about the program.
August 305:00pm – 5:45pmConversation with a CPAAre you curious about what CPAs actually do? Join the conversation with Selena Woo, CFP, CPA, CMA, Vice President of Advisory Services – Associates & Operations at Nicola Wealth. You will have an opportunity to ask your own questions about a career in accounting.
August 315:30pm – 7:00pmOnline CPABC Accounting Night in CanadaHow to transfer your international education and work experience (accounting/finance) to get the CPA designation? Learn the admission requirements of our CPA program, BC’s economic outlook, and employment resources available. We’ll also hear from special guest Windmill Microlending, a Canadian charity that offers low-interest microloans for skilled newcomers who need financial support to pay for the cost of licensing and credentials.

Register to participate in virtual career workshops, employer info sessions, speed interviews, and to network with recruiters in-person.
